김홍이 기자=이재명 대통령은 25일 美 뉴욕 순방 중 세계 최대 자산운용사 블랙록과의 MOU 체결을 했다.

이번 MOU체결은 국내 AI·재생에너지 인프라 투자, 아시아·태평양 AI 허브 구축, 글로벌 AI 파트너십 참여라는 세 가지 성과를 담고 있습니다.

블랙록이 말하는 ‘대규모 투자’는 수십조 원 규모로, 데이터센터와 재생에너지 프로젝트뿐 아니라 배터리·통신·에너지 산업 전반의 성장 기회를 열 것으로 알려졌다.

또한 한국이 아시아 AI 수도로 도약할 전략적 기반을 마련한 만큼, 글로벌 자본 유치와 산업 생태계 활성화에 큰 전환점이 될 것으로 기대한다고 밝혔습니다.

On the 25th, President Lee Jae-myung signed an MOU with BlackRock, the world's largest asset management firm, during his visit to New York.

This MOU encompasses three key outcomes: investment in domestic AI and renewable energy infrastructure, the establishment of an Asia-Pacific AI hub, and participation in a global AI partnership.

BlackRock's "large-scale investment" amounts to tens of trillions of won, and is expected to open up growth opportunities not only in data centers and renewable energy projects, but also across the battery, telecommunications, and energy industries.

He also expressed his anticipation that, as Korea has laid the strategic foundation for becoming Asia's AI capital, it will mark a significant turning point in attracting global capital and revitalizing the industrial ecosystem.
