문재인 대통령 청와대 수석비서관회의 성명에서,
미얀마 국민들에 대한 폭력은 즉각 중단되어야하며, 
더이상 인명의 희생이 있어서는 안될 것이라고말하고, 미얀마 군과 경찰의 폭력적인 진압을 규탄하며, 아웅산 수찌 국가고문을 비롯해 구금된 인사들의 즉각 석방을 강력히 촉구한다고 밝혔습니다. 따라서 미얀마 민주주의와 평화가 
하루속히 회복되기를 간절히 바란다고도 밝혔습니다.

Use of violence against the people of Myanmar must stop now. There should not be any more loss of lives. We condemn the violent suppression of protests by the military & the police forces & strongly call for the immediate release of all those detained including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi. We stand firmly with the people of Myanmar for a quick, peaceful restoration of democracy.
